In
1983 I graduated from the World Wide College of
Auctioneering in Mason City, IA. Prior to this I was
an frequent auction attendee . Combined with my love
of antiques, helping people and TALKING, I ventured in
to this new profession!
In
1984, I acquired my real estate license, and in 1986 I
purchased the Century 21 franchise in Rochester,
Minnesota. Tying the real estate and auctions together
was a perfect fit.
We
have involved the entire family in the auction
business. I have met and helped many families throughout
the years. It has been a fun and rewarding experience.
My
motto is: Professionalism doesn’t cost it pays!

I
have attended auctions since I was just a baby. Our
family spent a lot of time both on evenings and
weekends going to auctions. In 1983, Dad actually
became an auctioneer himself. Growing up we spent a
lot of time listening to him practice. At 11 years
old I helped with setting up and running auctions. I
continued helping with the family auction business all
through high school and college. In 2002, I moved up
the ladder and started calling auctions myself. I
really have enjoyed helping individuals, businesses
and families sell their lifetime possessions. We work
hard promoting and advertising the auction, so on
Auction day we have a good crowd and get the most
possible money for each item. The auction business
has been very rewarding and a lot of fun. I hope my
kids too will learn as much as I did growing up in the
business. |
